Monstercat Compound has become a staple in Vancouver’s vibrant music scene, bringing together the best in electronic music and fostering a sense of community.
The globally renowned independent record label headquartered in Vancouver is set to captivate music lovers and electronic music enthusiasts on Saturday, August 26 with the return of their highly anticipated annual free block party. For the first time in its history, Monstercat Compound will be an exclusive 19+ event, elevating the atmosphere and offering an even more immersive environment and doubling its site map compared to last year which will include even more room for attendees, artists, and activities.
Headlining this year’s Monstercat Compound are some of the hottest names in the electronic music industry. Attendees can brace themselves for heart-pounding performances by Crankdat, Blanke, Nostalgix, Godsends, Ace Aura and CHYL who will take the main stage and set the crowd on fire with their electrifying beats and dynamic sets. All artists appearing are on Monstercat’s label, something that’s new to this year’s event, and none of the headliners announced have performed at Monstercat Compound previously. Their magnetic presence will undoubtedly make this year’s Compound an unforgettable experience for all in attendance.

- Crankdat – This Ohio-based artist, has achieved the impressive feat of accumulating nearly a quarter of a billion total streams. He has toured across four continents and performed at hundreds of shows, including a residency at Hakkasan in Las Vegas. Crankdat’s most recent release, ‘Slaughter House EP’, was released on Monstercat this past April.
- Blanke – Blanke was recognized as the Break Out Artist of 2019 on the Subreddit R/EDM’s best of 2019 list. This artist has consistently received support from various international dance music media outlets.
- Nostalgix – Vancouver-based artist with roots in the Canadian dance music scene and born in Iran, Nostalgix is a debut artist who brings spunky charm and a ’90s edge to her signature sound. As a producer, writer, and rapper, she incorporates thunderous basslines and electrifying beats into her music.
- Godlands – A forerunner of the new wave of Australian electronic music, Godlands has gained global attention. Known for their ability to create hip-hop-infused productions and heavy festival bangers, Godlands has made a name in the industry. She is gearing up to release her second Monstercat EP, out soon.
- Ace Aura – From Dallas, Ace Aura is at the forefront of melodic riddim, and renowned for their high-energy DJ sets. Ace Aura effortlessly transitions between expertly-curated waves of dubstep, hardwave, trap, and hardstyle, with a touch of nostalgic pop cuts.
- CHYL – Currently based in Los Angeles, Vancouver producer CHYL is a bass and speed house prodigy. Known for their high-energy, high-speed, and bass-heavy tracks, CHYL has garnered support from industry tastemakers like Habstrakt, Julian Jordan, Ghastly, Wuki, and more.
