The leading tech company that calls Vancouver home has reimagined the future of work with an office workplace overhaul of their own and we wanted to give you a peek inside.
Hootsuite facelifted their office and the new ‘Nest’ looks like rooms in a cozy, retro Cali inspired rancher home that we’d like to hang out every day too. The redesign comes from a post-pandemic world where the office is no longer a necessary daily institution, but a collaborative space to be inspired and creative (and get out of the house). While most people have got used to living a more flexible and work-life balanced routine and aren’t necessarily jumping at the opportunity to be back in the office full time, being cooped up in the house or apartment all day and taking hourly trips to the kitchen and washroom isn’t the most inspiring work environment either. For that reason, many companies like Hootsuite are offering flexible working options like continuing to WFH, coming back to the office or a combination of both, with a strong focus on mental health and wellbeing.
In Hootsuite’s case, those returning to the new green space office get to take advantage of the spacious communal areas like team pods and living room hangouts, single hangout personal pods, exercise bikes, sit-stand desks, wellness rooms to chill out, all inclusive washrooms, ergonomic equipment. Maybe we’ll move our office in there.
