Downtown Van is throwing a free two-day street party in the heart of the Granville Street – The Granville Block Party.  The fully licensed, inclusive, and family-friendly street fest will take place from 1pm – 7pm this Saturday, August 26th, and Sunday, August 27th at the intersection of Granville and Robson streets.

“We’re thrilled to be hosting this event in the Granville Entertainment District (GED).  This is a critical transition period for Granville Street, especially with the recently developed Granville Street Planning Project underway. As an organization, we believe there is no better time than now for the GED to have its own hallmark event.  I’m  looking forward to seeing the streets filled with thousands of attendees enjoying all Granville Street offers.” – Jane Talbot, President and CEO of Downtown Van.

The fun-filled weekend will be a star-studded lineup of performances like The Boom Booms, Public Disco, Van Vogue Jam, Tonye Aganaba, and Missy D. You’ll also be wow’d and entertained by roaming street performers, market vendors, arts and crafts workshops, live painting, and lots more fun. Did we also mention that it’s fully licensed with a Red Truck Beer Company bar.
