5 Brunch

And on the 7th day, there was brunch. We may not have as big of a brunch culture here as in NYC or London, but for those who aren’t too hungover to leave their houses, we have so many places to choose from. Our go-to favs are Reflections: The Garden Terrace, Provence Marinaside or Botanist for the buffet, if you want to get real fancy.

4 Sports Game

To most, sitting back and taking in a game of the BC Lions (football), Vancouver Whitecaps FC (soccer) or Vancouver Canadians (baseball) is a chill day, although to others, they turn up and get wild – but either way, it’s a good time and one of the best ways to Sunday Funday.

3 Patio Hopping

This might be the most obvious choice, but there are a ton of great patios in the city (and some with water views) so you can test out new spots every weekend.  Nothing beats basking in the sun while sipping cocktails (or punch bowls if you’re like us). Check out these perfect patios for day drinking:

2 Horse Races

Put on your fascinator, gather your friends and have yourself a good old fashioned time at the track! Hastings Racecourse is Vancouver’s longest running sports facility and a breeding ground for excitement, offering visitors amenities such as a gaming floor with over 500 slot machines and five dining and cocktail spaces to choose from. Hastings Racecourse is also home to the annual Deighton Cup.

1 Spend The Day At The Beach

We have just as many urban beaches in Vancouver as we do poke shops and french bulldogs. Our beaches are one of the many reasons why Vancouver ranks as one of the most liveable cities in the world and we have nine awesome options to choose from. We’re working hard to get rid of our “no-fun” reputation and beginning this summer, you’ll be able to enjoy a cold one at a few outdoor public spaces including Kits Beach, but there’s always Wreck Beach for a real good time ;).
