22 Vancouver Concerts This SEPTEMBER

 Say goodbye to summer with this stellar lineup of concerts in Vancouver throughout September.

This month BC Place is hosting two mega concerts: Guns N’ Roses and Coldplay! The Malkin Bowl at Stanley Park welcomes the likes of Spoon and HAIM for some amazing outdoor concerts. Meanwhile Rogers Arena opens its doors for big artists like Lionel Richie, Mariah Carey, Janet Jackson and Miranda Lambert.

There are also a handful of music festivals taking place including the iHeartRadio Beach Ball over Labour Day long-weekend which features Lorde, Alessia Cara, Liam Payne, Train, Blondie, Serena Ryder and more. The Albatross Music Festival at Hastings Racecourse features a diverse lineup including Elisa Estrada, Far East Movement, Wanting, Taeyon, Queen, Edison Chen and more. Also, Red Truck Beer Company is hosting Westward Music Festival featuring Vince Staples, A Tribe Called Red, Hannah Georgas and more.

22 Guns N’ Roses

American heavy metal rock band (read: Gods) Gun’s N Roses are going to blow the roof off this place! Axl Rose, Slash and the gang bring music that spans four decades with them.

21 Rick Springfield

67-year-young Australian singer-songwriter and instrumentalist brings the rock and vocals to the PNE Ampitheatre to help kick off September.

20 Spoon

Indie rock-pop band Spoon from Austin, Texas celebrates 25 years of music next year.

19 Lionel Richie & Mariah Carey

The much-anticipated rescheduled tour date for the Vancouver show is upon us. The joint tour was postponed due to a knee procedure the 68-year-old legend, Lionel Richie, underwent earlier this year. He is joined by the vocal range of Mariah Carey.

Este, Danielle and Alana, the three sisters from LA, are known together as Haim and rock the outdoor Malkin Bowl at Stanley Park with their indie soft pop-rock.

15 Simple Plan

14 Big Sugar

Canadian blues and reggae rock band were on hiatus in the mid-2000’s and have been active again since 2010. They hail from Toronto and have ten studio albums under their belt and a few EPs.

13 Mac DeMarco

Mac DeMarco aka Pepperoni Playboy from Edmonton, Alberta was actually born in Duncan, British Columbia. He brings his multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter vibe to Vancouver for two shows.

12 Watsky

George Virden Watsky known on on stage as simply Watsky is an American hip hop artist, author and poet. He’s from San Francisco and is known for his slam poetry.

11 Albatross Music Festival

Where: Hastings Racecourse
When: September 14 & 15, 2017

An international lineup of artists is bringing diverse culture and music to the Hastings Racecourse for the two-day Albatross Music Festival. Local artists Elise Estrada and Wanting are featured.

Day 1 features A Si, Edison Chen, Eric Chow, Hyukoh, Nair Band, Queen and more.
Day 2 features Elise Estrada, Far East Movement, Ma Di, Matzka, Taeyon, Una, Wanting and more.

10 Shaggy

Where: Commodore Ballroom
When: Saturday, September 16, 2017

The “It Wasn’t Me” hit-maker brings his ‘boombastic‘ Jamaican-American flare and reggae fusion to Vancouver for back-to-back shows on the same night.

9 Westward Music Festival

Multiple artists and multiple venues! The two-day festival event takes place at Vogue Theatre, Biltmore Cabaret, Imperial Theatre, Fox Cabaret and the Red Truck Brewery. Artists featured include Vince Staples, A Tribe Called Red, Dear Rogue, Hannah Georgas, Youngblood, Wyclef Jean and more.
