Feel those summer vibes at the Taste of Barbados 2018 festival!  Hosted at Bear Creek Pavilion in  Surrey, this family-friendly event will feature soca and reggae music, live steel pan performance, dominoes, Carnival dancers, and other traditional activities on site to recreate an authentic Barbados experience that RiRi would approve of.

Here are our top reasons for attending:

3 Rum Shop

No Barbadian celebration is complete without rum! There’s a reason why Barbados got the nickname ‘Rum Island.’ Get your sip on at the bar.

2 Authentic Barbadian Cuisine

Two words: FISH CAKES.  That alone, should bring you out. Fried and spicy, these little fritters are delightful! Also on the menu: Rice & Peas, Macaroni Pie, Flying Fish, Bajan Chicken, and Souse – a bajan delicacy.

Debit and credit cards are accepted.

1 It’s FREE

Because everything’s better when it’s free.

Taste of Barbados is presented by the Barbados Cultural Association of BC, a non-profit organization.  Barbados branded merchandise will be available (t-shirts, hats, and other paraphernalia) for sale with proceeds going towards to the association.
