Being the cultural melting pot that Vancouver is, this city is filled with a diverse selection of people, particularly when it comes to dating – Latinas included. Latinas are strong, loving, fiesty, and beautiful and here’s where you’ll meet them in Vancouver. (However, if you’re not equipped to handle their bold spirits and fiery personalities – you should probably consider going after other women.)
11 Pacific Centre
With over 90 retail stores, you’re bound to cross paths with a lot of people at Pacific Centre. Like the majority of women on the face of the Earth, Latinas love to shop and PC is the perfect mall to do just that and socialize at the same time.
10 Molli Cafe
You don’t have to be Latin American to appreciate Molli Cafe in the West End. A small gem for authentic Mexican street-style food, conchas (sweet Mexican bread FYI) and great coffee. Busiest on the weekends when it turns into a true Spanish-speaking hangout.
Soccer, or “fubol” as it’s referred to as by Latinos, is a huge component of Latin American culture. Many of the world’s best futbolistas are married to Latinas. Malone’s Social House and Taphouse on West Pender is THE pub to watch the beautiful game on the big screens.
That’s español for “church.” And because the majority of Hispanics are Catholic, Sunday Funday usually involves church first. Our Lady of Sorrows Parish in East Van offers mass in Spanish as well as in English and Italian.
7 Spanish Banks
Because the name includes “Spanish.” Just kidding. But really, a lot of our Latina and Latino friends frequent Spanish Banks beach on the regular for bbq’s and good times.
6 Studio Records on Granville
Dance to salsa, bachata, merengue, and more with music from DJ Cachete, get free lessons from the pros including dance instructor Diego Sanchez, and meet lots of Latina babes while having the most fun you’ll have on a Tuesday night. Every Tuesday night at Studio Records on Granville.
Every Friday beginning at 10pm, Privé Nightclub hosts Paraiso Fridays, one of Vancouver’s hottest Latin nights with endless salsa, bachata, merengue and reggaeton as well as live bands and international DJ’s and artists.
4 Las Margaritas
A cantina-esque restaurant in the heart of Kitsilano, Las Margaritas is the real deal. Real good food, real good drinks, real good service, and a real good chance of meeting a Latina beauty.
3 Red Room
For years, Cancun Nights at Red Room has been a premier Latin venue in Vancouver. Don’t worry if you can’t dance to Latin music, they also play Top 40. Leave the salsa to the Latinas.
2 Baru Latino
A chic and fun neighbourhood restaurant in Point Grey, Baru Latino Restaurant is a hub for excellent food and cocktails in an inclusive environment with regular live music. Oh – and they have pineapple mojitos. It’s no wonder Latinas love this joint.
1 Lux Lounge
The closest you’ll get to Cuba – outside of Cuba. Hosted at Lux Lounge, Havana Fridays offers free dance lessons from Cuban instructor Julio Montero and beats all night long from guest DJ’s Dj Kubanito and Dj Cachete. Sip on mojitos and cuba libres and enjoy a latin-inspired menu while you’re at it.
