Pick-Up Wednesday| GIRLBOSSES

Count on Vancouver to not only have some of the most beautiful women in the world, but also some of the smartest BOSS babes.  There’s no shortage of successful women in the city, aka GIRLBOSSES (Coined by Sophia Amoroso, Founder of Nasty Gal) who are getting it on their own and there’s nothing sexier than that. Here are some of the spots they frequent – ourselves included (obviously):

13  Thierry

When you’re grinding all day long, sometimes coffee isn’t quite enough. Some days, we need a little something  extra and the spiked espresso at Thierry is the perfect pick-me-up.

12 Buro

Buro in Gastown, is a great spot to people watch and derive inspiration from the surroundings.  The cortado and Spanish latte brings all the #girlbosses in.

11 Vancouver Urban Winery

A frequented, off-the-beaten path venue by boss babes looking to un-WINE-d with a glass – or a bottle depending on the type of day it’s been –  of vino.

10  Karameller Candy

When you’re running around like a madwoman, sending countless emails and attending non-stop meetings – it’s important, vital even, to have a little boost of sugar.  “Karameller Thursdays” has become a thing for us.  It involves filling a bag (sometimes two) of the prettiest candies in the city.

The Beachhouse

Dinner with the girls should be a fun and relaxing experience and for busy women, they’re far and few in between. The Beachhouse in Dundarave, West Vancouver provides that in addition to a breath-taking view, a great patio (with heaters and blankets) and the best tuna poke nachos. How could a girl refuse?

8  JJ Bean Yaletown

No such thing as too much caffeine when you’re busy trying to take over the world. The JJ Bean on Davie and Homer is one of the nicest locations and one of the most social coffee houses. Where you go to see and be seen.

Lobby Lounge at Fairmont Pac Rim

Where all the networking (and cocktail-drinking) happens.  No better place to meet beautiful, successful women who are up for a bit of interaction.

Glowbal

They’ve got a wicked happy hour, fireplaces, patio, and nice decor – what’s not to love.  The après-work hangout.

5  E-Bar at Nordstrom Vancouver

Where the city’s top fashionistas either take a break to caffeinate on rose-flavoured lattes or get work done, surrounded by other fellow fashion lovers, surrounded by lavish design brands.

 Per Se Social Corner

With a beautiful, warm, and inviting interior, and great service, Per Se Social Corner is one of our most common post-work/evening hangouts especially on a warm evening when we can sip some red and white on the patio.

 Grain Tasting Bar

Located inside the HYATT Regency Vancouver on Burrard, Grain Tasting Bar is a go-to for several reasons. It’s a good place to get work done because they have WI-FI, it’s a good place to network and mingle, and it’s also quiet enough during the day for a business meeting.

2  Ride Cycle Club

The spin class of all spin classes, Ride Cycle Club attracts busy women, with limited time who want an intense, super upbeat and kick-ass workout.  The best way to sweat out the stress of the day and leave feeling stronger than ever – and usually a little sore.

Reflections: The Garden Terrace

This one should come as no shock to anyone who’s ever been. The chicest spot in the city is sure to attract equally chic and sophisticated women.  Where the girlbosses like to lounge the most.
