Fashion Bloggers. You scroll through their perfectly curated pictures on Instagram, most likely one of their 50k + followers, all while secretly (or not-so-secretly “Omg, I want your life!”) envying their fashionable, plane-hopping, macaron-filled lives. It’s the notion that they’re elusive and unattainable and oh-so-fabulous, that makes them so desired. If you’re looking to win over an #fblogger, it’s probably best you start by meeting them first, in person. Here are some of their most popular hangouts in the city:
13. Brick Wall Outside Of Al Porto Ristorante
Because exposed brick and the juxtaposition of old x a new, sleek, designer outfit is too hard to resist. The brick wall in the alleyway that leads into Al Porto Ristorante is a hot spot for blogger photo activity.
12. Secret Location
A sophisticated and beautiful concept store with a cool ice bar and a nice menu – especially their dessert and cocktail menu and we all know how much fashion bloggers love their sweets and pretty drinks. Bright with lots of natural light – perfect for capturing Instagram-worthy shots.
134 Abbott Street
11. Le Marché St. George
Recently featured in Vogue, Le Marché St. George is a quaint little neighborhood corner shop with lots of character and French appeal. The kind of place where the hashtags #kinfolk #coffeelovers and #liveauthentic would best be used.
4393 St George St
There appears to be a direct correlation between fashion bloggers and candy. Just based off their lives online, they come across as being absolute sugar fiends. (They must make frequent trips to the dentist.) So when Beverly Hills-based luxury candy boutique Sugarfina opened up inside Nordstrom Pacific Centre, it quickly became a popular destination. Why have regular gummies when you can have CHAMPAGNE-infused gummies? Similar to Sugarfina, Karameller Candy Shop in Yaletown is another blogger fav.
Sugarfina: 799 Robson St
Karameller: 1020, Mainland St
Having a taco addiction is actually a thing, a cool thing at that and a common craving amongst a lot of these fashionistas – according to their IG anyway. Tacofino, specifically the Gastown/Blood Alley location, is where they like to satisfy their #TacoTuesday cravings.
15 W Cordova St
8. Nelson the Seagull
A rustic and cozy hipster coffee shop in Gastown (surprise!) that is frequented by these avocado and toast lovers. Bloggers love to sit back and relax here over scrumptious picnic board spreads, flat whites, and with the latest issue of NUVO or Porter.
315 Carrall St
7. The Diamond
Only the raddest spot in Gastown for creative cocktails. Part of The Diamond’s allure is its aesthetic and intimate ambiance. (Also our favourite first date spot.)
6 Powell St
If you’ve ever sat on the patio at Nosh, you’ll understand why fashion bloggers love this cafe. Part of the Glowbal family, Nosh is a pleasant place to grab food-on-the-go or take a break outside on the patio by the fireplace or inside, next to the piano. Great sandwiches, pastas, and yummy little cakes.
510 W Georgia St
5. Posh Sunday Brunch at L’Abattoir
Brunch is a way of life, especially for bloggers. One of their preferred brunch spots is L’Abattoir where the lighting is just right, the design is stunning, and where you’re offered complimentary mimosas and pastries with your breakfast.
217 Carrall St
4. Reflections: The Garden Terrace
This beautiful oasis above the city is always bustling with bloggers. It’s chic and fun and the perfect venue to gather and converse with (take #ootd pics) with other fellow bloggers.
801 W Georgia St
3. Laduree Vancouver
We’ve already established that fashion bloggers have a sweet tooth. Macarons are definitely their sweetest obsession and they’ve been flocking to Laduree for fresh macarons straight from Paris ever since its recent introduction to the city.
1141 Robson St
2. Vancouver Art Gallery
Fashion is an artistic expression and what better place to display that than at the Vancouver Art Gallery?
750 Hornby St
This one’s obvious. All of the best designer brands and endless fashion inspiration. Nordstrom also hosts regular meet-ups and special events, which of course, all of the top fashion bloggers are invited to. In addition, they have free wifi at E-Bar, the coffee shop inside that boasts a gorgeous, long, wooden communal table – excellent for picture-taking.
