10 Fraiche Sheet Foods
What do you get when you combine two experienced, culinary talents with a mutual passion for healthy living? A meal-delivery and catering service unlike any other. Fraiche Sheet Foods was inspired by husband and wife team Dennis and Dariya Peckham’s desire to give their clients dishes that are as creative and delicious as it is nutritious, each made from local and sustainable ingredients.
Fraiche’s website features a wide variety of imaginative and frequently rotating dishes from Vegan Buddha Bowls and Korean-style BBQ Chicken to Sustainable Salmon with Quinoa and Peanut Sauce! Each dish is even accompanied by a complete Nutrition Facts panel.
Rewind back, Fraiche’s founder first met back in 2011, while working together at Black + Blue. Dennis, a BC dude, had come from Vancouver’s legendary Lumière and the three-Michelin-starred Per Se (New York) and The French Laundry (Napa Valley). Dariya, who moved to BC from Bulgaria after high school, worked her way to a front-of-house master for Glowbal Group and Cactus Club Cafe.

A beloved gem in Little Italy, Lombardo’s is run by some tight-knit, fierce women! Patti Lombardo took over Vancouver’s first wood oven pizzeria after her divorce from her restauranteur husband Marcello, and it continues to be a family-run operation. Her daughters Elizabeth and Sonia, managing both the front and back-end, with daughter Giulia working as the head chef!

The second you walk into Bodega on Main, you become a part of the family. Opened in September 2015, by siblings Paul and Natalie Rivas, the pair have added their own fresh take on the traditional tapas. Their father, Francisco Rivas, was co-owner of La Bodega, a Vancouver institution for over 43 years and Bodega honours their Dad’s legacy of bringing an authentic taste of Spain to Vancouver – with a much more eclectic vibe.
