In Venezuela and Colombia, it’s typical to eat Arepas for breakfast – and lunch and dinner and after a night of partying, and basically any other time. The delicious mini sandwich is completely gluten free and you can stuff it with anything from regular cheese to stewed meats (Pabellón) and the typical chicken salad with avocado (Reina Pediada).

Now these snacks are taking over Vancouver with their very own food truck Come Arepa and trending at Kitsilano’s Cacao Progressive Latin restaurant.

Try them for yourselves, but be aware that addictions are real!
