It’s a weeknight, or better yet the weekend, which means you want to spend some quality time with your main squeezes – the girls! Whether you’re looking to have a few cocktails and conversation, karaoke night, a dance party, or just to lay low, Vancouver has you covered.

Here are some of our top restaurant picks to hit up when wanting to round up the girl-gang:

Jules Bistro
This authentic French bistro located in the heart of Gastown, offers affordable dishes that’ll make you feel like you’re in France. Jules Bistro offers an extensive happy hour with a wine list that will be sure to satisfy each of the girls wine hankering. If you’re planning on hitting up this joint on a nice day be sure to snag a table on the patio.

If you’re looking for somewhere all the locals love, Chambar is your go-to. With a great ambiance, an extensive drink and food menu – serving up breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner, you and the girls can come for any occasion. Since the menu has a Belgian focus, you will enjoy dishes that taste like you’re dining at the highest level, without breaking the bank.

Reflections: The Garden Terrace
In the summer, this is no better place to be, especially for ladies night out. This rooftop oasis (located at the Rosewood Hotel Georgia) is classy and relaxing all at once. Class up ladies night be throwing on a killer dress and some sky-high heels. Enjoy some tapas and beverages while enjoying your views.

This charming heritage house in Yaletown is home to Lupo, a fine dining Italian restaurant that boasts all things cozy and inviting. Here you will find the freshest seasonal ingredients, with everything being made in-house. Serving up traditional Italian food with a flare, the girls will be in for a treat. Homer Street Cafe
This contemporary cafe/restaurant is all about taking people’s comfort into consideration (while adding some flare). The restaurant features two spaces (for all your get-together needs); an open concept kitchen “Chef’s Bar” where you can get up and close with the kitchen staff, or a private dining room. Specializing in chicken, it’s a must order when you’re here. Don’t forget to pair it with one of their unique cocktails – the secret cocktail is my favourite.

4  Altitudes Bistro
Altitudes is situated at the very top of Grouse Mountain, overlooking the entire Lower Mainland – if you’re looking for a girls get together, why not plan a little getaway, with some spectacular views built right in. The menu here is nothing but delicious – get the nachos to share, you won’t be disappointed. Located on the upper floor of the Peak Chalet, tables are available on a first-come, first serve basis.

Snag a spot on the patio now that it’s officially open (weather permitting) and don’t forget to order the Mountain Nachos – you’ll thank us.

By definition terroir means “the environmental conditions, soil and climate, in which grapes are grown and give wine its unique flavor and aroma/or a given food. This Vancouver restaurant is styled after the classic tapas – and the Southern European traditions they originate from. The menu here is small, but well thought out and delivers on taste. Because of the self-styled “small plates” it’s perfect to get a bunch to share with the girls. Be sure to try their bone marrow appetizer (yes it’s different, but go for it)!

Dockside Restaurant is located on the waterfront where Granville Island faces the city. You can enjoy panoramic views all across False Creek to the cityscape of Yaletown and the mountains. This location is perfect to round up the gang and enjoy space in the dining room or lounge and sip the night away. Patio season is ultimately the best time of  year though – and it’s been known to be one of the best in the city.
