Keep calm, it’s Spring Break! Places like Whistler and Victoria are always great getaways from Vancouver but here are some other worthy options around the Province:

7 Vancouver Island
Cowabunga dude! Hop on the ferry and get to the west coast of Vancouver Island for some world class surfing and water sports along the Pacific Rim. Areas around Tofino, Ucluelet and Sooke are top destinations for cold water surfing, paddleboarding and kiteboarding. There are tons of surf schools if you’re a beginner or if that’s too extreme you can enjoy some whale watching, boat tours or just beach around.

 6 Alaska Highway

Road trip! The portion of the Alaska Highway in British Columbia spans around 1,000km from Dawson Creek all the way up to Watson Lake, Yukon. So bring your playlist and good company for this journey through mountainous scenery with hot springs and wildlife viewing.


5 Harrison Hot Springs

The Village of Harrison Hot Springs is known as Vancouver’s backyard and is a classic getaway spot. When you’re not dining, golfing, hiking or having fun in the water you can lodge up in a hotel resort, RV park or B&B. The natural hot springs will redefine your idea of rest and relaxation while letting you explore Supernatural British Columbia at the same time.

4 Squamish

Squamish literally offers sea to sky adventures once you take a gondola ride for some epic trails and views. To name a few of the Spring activities you can get up to: fishing, hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing, wind & kite surfing, boating & sailing, scuba diving & snorkeling, horseback riding, whitewater rafting and eagle watching. The self-proclaimed “Outdoor Recreation Capital of Canada” also has over half-a-dozen provincial parks in the region.

3 Pemberton

Get lost at the foot of Mount Currie in the woods of Pemberton & District where you can camp at drive-in, backcountry or rustic campsites. The Pemberton Valley which is located in the Coast Mountains is also a top destination for air activities like heli-tours and sky diving. Plus you can always go back in the summer for Pemberton Music Festival!

2 Kootenay Rockies

For a quaint excursion pack up the family or a group of friends in the RV and head far out to the Kootenays. Explore the many rivers, lakes, waterfalls, hot springs, meadows and of course the glorious mountains of Supernatural British Columbia. This is your ultimate nature getaway.

1 Okanagan Valley

Known for its orchards, vineyards and wineries, the Okanagan Valley is paradise for foodies and wine guzzlers. As a major spa and wellness centre destination you can things like vinotherapy massage, ginseng spa or cold sauna treatment. Cities include Kelowna, Penticton, Vernon and Osoyoos which each offer a different experience.
