With summer officially coming to a close, as of September 22, we want you to make the most of what is left of the season! Although the Fall months are quickly approaching, don’t be discouraged – you still have time to enjoy the heat!
Here are our favourite activities to partake in during the next few weeks:
7 Drum Circle
Taking place down at Third Beach in Stanley Park, music and drum lovers can head down here every Tuesday night to beat the night away as the sun sets. The Drum Circle originally started out eight years ago by Vancouver local, Brahm Olszynko – with just three drums and four people. Since then they now drum up to hundreds of people with the number growing each and every year.
Location: Third Beach at Stanley Park
6 Bike the Sea Wall
If you’re anything like me, every year you tell yourself you’re going to either walk, bike, run, etc. the Seawall and every year you fail to do so. With three weeks left of summer, now is the time to go and do it. Grab a friend and make a day out of it!
Location: Different access points of the Sea Wall, Vancouver
5 Check out the murals in Vancouver
Although the Vancouver mural festival has wrapped up, the art remains! Grab a few friends and go on a hunt to seek out fun murals! If you love street art and want some cool photos to amp up your Instagram feed – now is the time before the rainy weather sets in.

4 Joe’s BBQ Boat
If you love boating and love a good ol’ BBQ – Joe’s BBQ Boat is going to be your favourite summer pastime. A boat rental company that allows you to bring food aboard to cook just the way you like, it’s essentially a picnic on water!
Location: 1676 Duranleau St
3 Vancouver Art Galley Exhibit
The must see exhibit that is taking place at the Vancouver Art Galley is “Claude Monet’s Secret Garden”. This exhibit showcases and traces the career of this pivotal figure in Western art history. The exhibit runs until the first week of October.
Location: 750 Hornby Street
2 Drinks on a Patio
Fact: there is nothing better than enjoying a few cocktails or glasses of wine or bubbly on a sun-drenched patio. Head out to your favourite restaurant or possibly a place you haven’t tried yet and soak up the sun – and a couple of drinks.
1 Twilight Drive-In Movie
A little further outside of Vancouver – but still a great place to go, especially for a romantic date night. Head out to the Twilight Drive-In Theatre and watch three movies under the stars. Bring some warm cozy blankets and your favourite treats and you’re set. Check their website for upcoming showings and times.
Location: 260th and Fraser Highway
