“To describe my mother would be to write about a hurricane in its perfect power. Or the climbing, falling colors of a rainbow.” —Maya Angelou

Mother’s Day is a reminder to show some love and appreciation for the real unsung heroes of this world: Mothers.  To mark the occasion, here’s our list of  badass Supermoms:

In addition to being a mom to two adorable little girls, Mika, is also the owner of Prep beauty parlour where her talented team specializes in nails, eyelash extensions, waxing, massages, facials and hair and makeup for all occasions.

This beauty and former Blanche Macdonald graduate is most known for her stunning bridal makeup skills but she’s a successful entrepreneur in her own right with a clientele that continues to grow – so much in fact, that she opened up a brand new location this year to meet demand and better cater to her clients needs!

How she manages to run her own business, raise a family and look as incredible as she does is what we consider #GOALS.

Erin Treloar

Real beauty is raw and no understands this better than Erin Treloar, certified Health Coach and Founder of Raw Beauty Talks.

With baby #2 on the way, this admirable mama continues to build a legacy her children will no doubt be inspired by.

Fun. Honest. Insightful. Just a few of the words that perfectly describe blogger, speaker, and wellbeing advocate, Jamie Dunlop-Khau.

Her Instagram account and blog offers a very real look into what life as a mother of three girls, including a teenager (remember those years?) is like.  She admits that she’s not perfect and instead strives to instil in her daughters the importance of being confident, accountable, strong, and above all else – kind.

She believes that personal connections are the best connections and that life is about making memories, while looking stylish and feeling good on the inside.

Jessica Blumel

Adding some serious appeal to the North Shore, meet lifestyle and family blogger Jessica Blumel, aka North Shore Mama! A true hustler, this single momma of two grinds harder than most people we know and created her blog as a tribute to her daughters and as a way to share her story and offer insight on her journey through ‘motherhood’ with fellow moms.

She’s as humble and honest as they come and isn’t afraid to share her failures alongside her successes and keeps it 100.

Ask her what her biggest accomplishment is and she’ll tell you that it’s seeing how her daughters treat others.

Erin Ireland

It’s her passion for connecting Vancouverites to local and ethically-sourced food, her delicious plant-based recipes and her adorable family including rescue fur baby Effie that has helped grow and captivate her global audience.

On the daily, she inspires others to pursue a healthy and conscious life and to make choices that protect the animals and the planet!
