Sometimes life gets in the way and you just can’t make it to the usual 3-6pm happy hours offered at most bars and restaurants in the city. So what do you do when you’ve missed happy hour but still want to grab a cheap drink or food special? Hit up a late night happy hour! We’ve compiled a list of the best late night happy hours in the city to ensure you never miss out on a great deal.

10  Dover Arms Pub
961 Denman St
The Dover Arms Pub continues to be an iconic neighbourhood gathering spot in the West End. Serving up classic pub food and drinks with sports on the TV, it’s a great place to grab a chill beer or glass of wine. Monday to Friday happy hour takes place from 10pm until late. Specials include $4 glasses of house wine, $4 draft beer and $3 hi balls. And if you need something to go with your happy hour beverage, grab an order of chicken wings for $8.95!

Clough Club
212 Abbott St.
This cozy spot specializes in unique cocktails and a gourmet take on street food. They host happy hour from 12am-1am Sunday through Thursday. Offerings include $7 Classic Cocktails (ask for the Dealer’s Choice!), $4 hi balls, $5 Driftwood draught and $5 gourmet hot dogs. Thursday and Sunday nights also feature live music!

8  Big Rock Urban Brewery
310 W 4th Avenue
This brewery and eatery has something for everyone on their late night happy hour menu. Serving up specials from 9pm to close Sunday through Thursday that include $3 and $5 beers, $3 hi balls, $5 glasses of wine and $9 (3oz!) cocktails. For food try any of their appies for $4 or any pizza for $10. Even better? They offer $1 off 32oz growler refills and $2 off 64oz refills. Want to take your happy hour special home with you? Try a growler refill and a pizza for $18!

7 Mission
2042 W 4th Avenue
This unique Kitsilano spot has late night happy hour one day a week- Sunday Funday. From 9pm-12am you can enjoy $5 beer and wine, $6 double classic cocktails, as well as a selection of food specials from their always changing tasting menu. You can be sure to find something fresh, seasonal and local here.

Joe Fortes
777 Thurlow St.
Joe Fortes bar offers a late night happy hour 7 days a week from 9:30 to 11:00pm. You can grab all your favorite Joe Fortes appetizer classics for under $15! Our top picks? Jumbo Tiger Prawn Cocktail, Truffle Parmesan Fries, Beef Carpaccio and Steamed Clams. Desserts are $7 – Joe’s Chocolate Sin Cake anyone? And Molson pints, house wine and hi balls are all $5.

Nomad Restaurant
3950 Main St
Nomad is known for its locally sourced ingredients and Pacific Coast inspired fare. Their extensive late night happy hour menu is offered seven days a week from 10pm until close.  Specials include pints of beer and cider for $5, Negronis and their “Femme Fatale” cocktail for $6. For food, try their smoked local pork belly for $8 or their Lacinato Kale Salad for $14. It might be called Nomad but you’ll want to stay put!

4  The Flying Pig
127 W 2nd Ave
The newest location of this popular Vancouver spot in Olympic Village offers late night happy hour features seven days a week. From 10pm until close you can choose between 10 appetizers for under $8 as well as $4.75 glasses of house wine and Russel lager. We recommend the P.E.I Mussels with a glass of pinot gris!

YEW seafood + bar
791 W Georgia St
YEW has designed a “reverse happy hour” menu which can be ordered seven days a week, from 8pm until 11pm. The menu consists of five new cocktails and five new food items that were created specifically for reverse happy hour by superstar bartender Lauren Mote and chef Weimar. Each item is $10. We recommend the Highveld Colada- a mix of white rum, marula fruit, pineapple, coconut, plum and root beer bitters!

2  Pidgin
350 Carrall St
Pidgin combines Asian and Pacific Northwest ingredients with French cooking techniques to create special menu items. From 10:30 until late every day, you can experience their renowned classic cocktails for $7.50. Try the Penicillin- a blend of scotch, lemon, honey and ginger, will cure what ails you. You can also grab a $6 glass of wine or a tall can of Singapore’s Tiger Lager for $5. On Sundays and Mondays you can also bring your own bottle of wine for $1 corkage fee! (Don’t forget to order the wings!!)

Lombardo’s
1641 Commercial Dr
A Vancouver landmark for 30 years, Lombardo’s serves up some of the best pizzas in town. If you’ve been out drinking all evening and need something to eat, check them out on Commercial for their Expo Hours. All medium pizzas are $9.75 and all medium calzones are $12.95. These deals are available from 8:00pm until close Sunday through Thursday!
